Timeline:
Cassie was born during a cold winters night, together with her sister Noaidi. It was a rough winter and Galdr was a first-time mom at the time, which caused her to make some drastic mistakes. She had ventured far into the mountains, alone, when the birth begun. Two healthy cubs were born, but she quickly realized it wouldn't last when the storm set in. The cave she had managed to find were shallow and dark, with no soft bedding, light or prey. The small family curled up on the cold stone floor, hurdled together. Desperately hoping that someone would come and find them. To give them help. Nobody did.
Cassie died during the third night, the snowstorm still raging around the small family and Galdr had no choice but to abandon Cassies dead body to save Noa. They made it back, barely, collapsing not far from the glade Galdr and her sisters called home. Allure, Galdr's little sister, found them and helped them both home. Then she set out on a mission to retrieve the lost cub. It took several days to accomplish, as she didn't know where to go and the snowstorm had covered all tracks, but eventually she made it back with the small, gorgeous bundle of fluff.
Hex, Galdr's twin, had a few years back resurrected a cub off her own; Lanari, the small and quick-witted miniature ket and it set them all off on a new mission. Almost a full year after they accomplished their goals. The sacred items had been collected and Galdr headed off to find the Hallowed Tarn to resurrect her daughter. She returned a near month later with the small cub, but their struggles didn't end there.
Seeing the length off the cubs death as well as the method of resurrection she had suffered severe penalties. She struggled to breathe from the smallest of activities, wheezing and coughing, almost choking at points. Forcing her into inactivity for most of her developing years.
She were also blind on one eye. The dark pelt around it standing in stark contrast, making it somewhat unnerving to look at for a lot of kets. A lot of the little family's friends refusing to interact with the cub. Daiki however gave Cassie as much attention and love as the three young kadin siblings did.
As the years passed and the cubs grew up Cassie slowly learned how to deal with a lot of her disabilities. She'd use herbs and potions to help with her breathing issues and the like, but her experimenting sometimes hurt her more than it helped due to her not knowing what every plant did. She almost killed herself with poisonous plants more than once.
She had to take activities in very small bulks at a time. Most of the time she found herself entirely unable to do anything, not only because of her health issues but also because her blind eye scared a lot of children. They didn't seem to understand what was going on. Sometimes she found herself shunned and mocked. Even bullied, physically as well as mentally.
She couldn't deny how lonely she was, but slowly she started to counteract it by creeping people out. She'd claim that while her blind eye couldn't see the real world it was able to see what wasn't there. That it could see the future.
Her sister, Noaidi, were torn on how to act around her. Sometimes they played together and acted like a normal family. Other times Noa would call the cub cursed and run away. Afraid she'd somehow catch the curse like a sickness stuck to ones pelt.
